Purpose of the competition:
1. Improve customer and visitor service culture.
2. To increase the professionalism of merchants and hospitality companies.
3. Promote the best sales and catering companies and their employees.
The participants of the competition are mainly judged by experts - representatives of companies that have been winners of the previous Best Trader of Latvia competitions and experts delegated by the Latvian Institute of Commerce. The evaluation takes place according to the specifics of the participants in the competition. The evaluation shall be based on the "anonymous buyer" test.
The competition was organized by the Latvian Traders Association (LTA), which was founded in 1912, and later reopened in 1994. It currently brings together more than 600 entrepreneurs operating in the sales, catering and service industries.
