Four former Rixwell Hotels will operate under this brand - Domus Hotel and Irina Hotel in Riga, one hotel in Bauska - Bauska Hotel and the Old Town Hotel in Tallinn. The Rija Hotels brand will operate in the three-star hotel segment. The introduction of the new Rija Hotels brand will allow us to segment the hotel offer better and accommodate it to the needs and interests of travellers.
Sanda Roze, Sales and Marketing Director, Mogotel Group, says: «The Rija Hotels brand has been created to meet the needs and desires of our customers more efficiently, as customers are demanding mid-range standard hotel services - three-star comfort at an affordable price. For those customers who want a wider range of services, there will still be six Rixwell Hotels available providing a standard four-star comfort level, or one of the three Wellton Hotels with an excellent and sophisticated advanced comfort class, including spa facilities.»
Europe and Latvia are now experiencing a boom in hotel construction and a rapid inflow of investment in the development of hospitality and tourism projects. Despite the fears that the hotel market in Riga is close to saturation, there are still new hotels being opened in the capital. Over the last ten years, the number of hotels has increased by 34.7%, while the number of tourists has risen by almost 50% and the total spending has more than doubled. To keep pace with the tourism industry and travel trends, the Mogotel Hotel Group is developing a diverse range of hotel deals. Mogotel's hotel occupancy rates are on average 95 percent already.
